Acoustic music night with Brooklyn By Hand

At 303GRAND, we love our DJs, but we love it when we see real instruments in the room and get to hear live music like we did on Saturday night.

Brooklyn by Hand orchestrated a delicious mix of acoustic bands including Sky White Tiger, Johanna & the Dusty Floor, Gregory J MR MR and Futurist.

We cleared the room, dimmed the lights and got swept away by melancholic sounds, feisty bursts of song and a peppering of interesting stage outfits. It got pretty grassroots when people started sitting on the floor, listening and drinking but we changed up the chords by throwing out a few rows of seating, switching it up to be part concert lounge, part floor party but one magnanimous sonic soiree.

Known as an independent music company, local to Williamsburg, Brooklyn By Hand promotes and manages bands, throwing parties and assists in an array of community events.

The Lounge will open again this Thursday through Sunday, starting at noon. Stop by for free coffee and wi-fi. For the list of upcoming events go here.
