Coffee and chocolate never tasted so good

Last Thursday, we sponsored an awesome event for coffee and chocolate lovers at the PerkStreet Lounge in Brooklyn.

Today is a pivotal time for gourmet chocolatiers with grassroots brands popping up across the globe. Traditional brands such as Lindt, Ghirardelli and Godiva are still perched on grocers’ shelves, yet lately some rising stars have emerged on the scene. Enter Fine & Raw, whose mission is to “save the world through silliness and chocolate”.

Last Thursday night, Brooklyn Based designed an evening at the PerkStreet Lounge to pair two modern favorites: delicious coffee from Gimme Coffee and chocolate bon bons from Fine & Raw that come with a “creaminess warning”.

Daniel Sklaar, founder of Fine & Raw, talked about how he left his life as a financial analyst to travel to the desert to work as a raw food chef. We then heard about how he went on to hone his talents as a chocolatier in Brooklyn. Every Fine & Raw product is hence stamped “Made in Brooklyn”.

Fine & Raw uses conscious ingredients from fair-trade cocoa to organic ingredients that are without toxins, chemicals or pollutants to the environment and finally using low heat techniques that don’t require high-energy usage.

Fine & Raw is stocked in Dean & Deluca, Urban Rustic and Marlowe & Sons and you can also buy it online on the Fine & Raw website.
