Pick Your Own February PowerPerks

.................................................................................................................

With the New Year in full-swing, resolutions trying the most steadfast of intentions, and the winter weather finally revealing itself here in New England, let’s turn our attention to maximizing the amount of cash back in your wallet. In honor of Valentine’s Day and of tax season, this month’s poll options are of course sweet and smart.

We’ve also thrown some big names in there for online-only purchases. Vote for your top 2 and we’ll make sure that your February is full of 5% cash back on debit.

Tax Preparation, Accounting, Auditing, and Bookkeeping

Not done with your taxes yet? Haven’t started? We hope 5% will help wrap up your tax season early. Last month, we offered PowerPerks on TurboTax®. You asked for more options and we’ve listened! Use any of the listed tax preparations services below, or any independent tax preparer, accountant, auditor, or bookkeeper (MCC codes 7276 and 8931) and receive 5% cash back if you select this option.

  • H&R Block®
  • Liberty Tax Service®
  • Tax Slayer®
  • Tax Hawk®
  • TurboTax®
  • Tax Club®

Nut, Candy and Confectionary Stores

Don’t forget the sweets for your sweethearts this Valentine’s Day. Vote for this option to receive 5% cash back at any nut, candy, and confectionary stores (MCC code 5441) including Godiva and Lindt™ chocolatiers.

Florists

Another popular choice for Valentine’s Day – though, we’re also fans of creativity and unconventional celebration – you will earn 5% cash back on debit at stand-alone florist shops for the month of February (MCC code 5992) if the community elects this option.

Kohl’s.com®

Kohls.com® is a one stop shop for all of your frugal home and fashion needs. Vote for Kohls.com® all online purchases will earn you 5% cash back on debit.

Dick’s Sporting Goods®

Whether you’re enjoying this winter outdoors in the snow, indoors on the pin-pong table, are hosting a Super Bowl party or are perhaps planning a vacation to somewhere warm, Dick’s Sporting Goods® can help enhance your athletic or leisurely family pursuits. Vote for Dick’s Sporting Goods® and receive 5% cash back both on in-store and on online purchases next month.

Museums and Tourist Attractions

February school vacation doesn’t have to be devoid of culture. Vote for museums and tourist attractions (MCC code 7991) and make your school-free days this February extra rewarding with 5% cash back.

Cast your vote between now and midnight (Eastern Time) on Thursday, January 26th! It’s all about giving you, our customers, a louder voice in selecting these special rewards!

Could we add Tax Act to the list of Tax preparation to get 5%?

  • Anonymous

    Hi Roy,

This is a broad category. Tax Act would apply, we just did not specifically call this out.

    Would OhNuts.com, nuts.com, Pembertonfarms.com, gourmetboutique.net, burdickchocolate.com, recchiuti.com, ghirardelli.com, godiva.com and lindt.com count as Nut, Candy and Confectionary Stores for PowerPerks? For Florists, does FTD.com, 1800flowers.com, teleflora.com, and proflowers count?

  • Anonymous

    Hi Robert,

Godiva.com, Lindt.com, FTD.com, 1800flowers.com, teleflora.com, and proflowers.com definitely count. The others should, as well, I just cannot access that information definitively at this time and some of the nut distributors may fall under miscellaneous specialty food stores. If you purchase via these and do not receive the full 5% back, you can always e-mail at us help@perkstreet.com to confirm or to amend the situation.

Turbotax screwed up our taxes one year, then amended our return without telling us.  I go to a real accountant now!

  • BJM

I’ve already bought tax software. This would not be helpful.

  • Hello

None of the above. How about just the local grocery store??? Or Walmart?

  • Anonymous

    Hello,

Don’t forget that you’re earning 1% and 2% back at WalMart and groceries stores already. PowerPerks are seasonally relevant and fun ways for PerkStreet to give even more cash back to our customers while operating in financially responsible ways for us as a business.

While we cannot adjust this month’s poll, we do plan to continue to work with Amazon.com in unique, value-adding ways for our customers. Hold tight. More exciting information will be available soon.

Nice! There’s my incentive to get taxes out of the way earlier than usual.
